BLACKPINK’s Lisa Manobal Just Made Her Catwalk Debut For Celine

During Celine’s Summer 2022 Collection presentation in Nice, France, BLACKPINK superstar Lalisa Manobal (known to fans as “Lisa”) made her podium debut as part of her tenure as ambassador Céline.

In an accompanying movie, close-ups of Lisa’s blunt bangs and the bob framing the face set fans up for the even more glamorous reveal to come: draped in a forest green varsity jacket adorned with the words “Celine Paris.” , she stepped out on the roof of the Observatory of Nice to join the show, which included models and actresses Kaia Gerber, Diana Silvers and Suzanne Lindon.

Lisa paired the new school varsity look with a white cropped top, lightly washed denim jeans, white sneakers, chunky sunglasses, and a chain shoulder bag in canary yellow.

The rapper, best known for being part of the hugely popular South Korean girl group BLACKPINK, was the last on the team to launch a solo career, making her “LALISA” debut in September 2021 with instant success. Such a leap was well worth the risk: Lisa is currently the 100th most-listened to artist in the world on Spotify, garnering nearly 26 million listeners each month. Its explosive growth in the music industry has been accompanied by interest from the worlds of fashion and beauty; she became Celine’s ambassador for the first time in 2020 and in December launched a makeup collection with MAC Cosmetics, for which she is also a global ambassador. Her group mates Jennie, Rosé and Ji-soo enjoy their own ambassadors with Chanel, Saint Laurent and Dior, respectively.

The group first discussed their fashion interests while filming for an ELLE cover in October 2020. “Fashion gives us as much power as music,” Jennie said. “Music and fashion …” “Cannot be separated,” Rosé concluded.
